During my undergraduate studies in mechanical engineering, I was required to take a class called EDG 1211 which was a class that exposed me to engineering drawings and basic cad ( Computer aided design) modeling. During that class I learned how to read and create 2D drawings of parts as well as how to create the part in a cad software called Solidworks. I had already been exposed to this material at my high school GSMST and I really enjoyed it there so I was very excited to touch the topic again.
After completing the course I wanted to learn more and become better at using the software so that I could improve my design skills so I decide to declare my minor in Engineering Design and Graphics ( EDG). As of now, I have taken one certification exam by Solidworks called the Certified Solidworks Associate exam ( CSWA) in mechanical modeling. I am currently certified in mechanical modeling at this level and will be taking the Certified Solidworks Professional -Mechanical Modeling Exam (CSWP) and the Certified Solidworks Professional Advanced- Drawing tools ( CSWPA-DT) this month.
Here is a couple pieces of work that I have completed throughout my minor!
